In roughly three weeks I will be moving to a warmer part of the world... Moreton Bay! Hopefully one of the Islands. There I endevour to begin the mission of starting my own business as an illustrator, bookbinder and papermaker. So I'll be frequenting this blog more often, so please ignore the previous fizzle it has been through. Looking forward to it so, so much!

Love your cicada wings. Here in Moreton Bay (Stradbroke Island) the cicadas sometimes get blown out to sea, usually round christmas time when they hatch. The tide brings them back to the beach where the seagulls gorge themselves on the bodies of the drowned insects. And artists like you and I collect some to use in our work.
